TECHNO AND VINES

The city of Gisborne makes me think of a movie setting, all the buildings are pastel colored, in wood, and there are palmtrees everywhere. Out of downtown, the houses look like mobile-homes, seems like they were temporarily placed here by helicopter. But the more you leave the city, the more the nature takes its rights, you see beautiful blossom flowers, little hills ponctuated with sheeps and vines, vines…

This is the setting of the Rythm and Vines festival, I don’t know the background story of it but I was figuring out an old rock fan letting kids have fun in his garden ten years ago to finally bring us to what the festival is now : a four stage music celebration in the middle of an amazing natural site. The boys stage was set up in the middle of a little forest, and you can imagine how feeric it was when Mehdi played at sundown…

IF THE EARTH WAS FLAT

…we’d be at the right at the end of it, watching what’s happening under…

Mehdi, Pedro and your host arrived safely in New-Zealand yesterday, after our longest flight ever… We met Ajax in Sydney after having been all wet by the rain like old towels… We rated Emirates, Qantas, and Air france business flights, and believe me, our national company isn’t number one in our hearts, I especially loved the crazy doubled sheeted blankets on the australian company and loved the granny-fake-gold style seats on Emirates.

Even though we travelled the most comfy way we could, we landed in Gisborne in a 10 seats plane and, as soon as we reached our room, washed our asses, our teeth, our dignity, we layed down in bed for another 10 hours sleep and got ready to know better about the New-Zealand accent we are not used to yet ! See you at the festival Rythm and Vines tonight !
