YUE SAI KAN
I went to my around-the-corner chinese to have dinner with myself tonight.
I usually watch television there since I am very interested in Chinese shows. They’ve got super long lead in direct show that lasts for hours, presented by 5 or 6 young people, they have the most diverse guests such as gymnasts/contorsionists, chinese R&b singers, hairstylists…
I even saw a french guy (supposedly very famous in China) convincing and seducing a whole audience of chicks he could have never get if he dared to play his music somewhere in his country of origin.
Anyway, I was eating my spring rolls when I saw her : (I had to wait a few minutes for her name to appear in our alphabet) Yue Sai Kan.
She was interviewed in a luxury hotel, Mariah Carey style, nice lamps, cosy atmosphere, strike a pose.
So, during the 12 minutes my dinner lasted, I had to guess who the woman was. I understood quickly though that she was someone very important and I came back at home to google her.
This lady is/should be the most famous woman in China. She spends her life as entrepreneur, journalist, UNICEF ambassador and producing different TV shows that generally connect the eastern world with ours.
After having moved to New York, she realised Chinese women were not using any make up and created a full palette of colors and foundations that would suit the Asian type, deciding at the same time which color didn’t fit.
What I like most about her is her haircut and those pics… And the fact I can’t help thinking that Yue San might be a modern Mata Hari.
