Bad restaurants
One of the things that drives me crazy appart from racism, hypocrisy, selfishness and Miss France’s election is bad restaurants.

Chefs who are coming out of cooking schools should be people who love giving to others and not stupid oily jerks smoking ciggies while waiting for a customer to sit in. (I am obviously not talking about Marco Pierre White pictured above)
I just don’t get it. How can you own a restaurant and give bad food to people ? VOCATION ! people who don’t have it shouldn’t have the right to open anything, not even a Kebab. We should have an appreciation council, if you don’t have the Food Mojo, then, get the fuck out of the kitchen !
The worst thing is when you have to pay for a dinner with your credit card whereas the price would have been closer to get in the kitchen and spit on the chef.
There are a few things that really makes me mad when I see them in a plate :
First of all : the deep fried calamari layed on a lettuce bed : genius idea to heat things up for this poor lettuce with heavy, greasy, floury and disgusting wheels of 3rd class cephalopods…
Then comes the famous french provençale tomato : my god, it really takes a lot of skills to put a pack of breadcrumbs on half a tomato and slip it in the oven, some people even dare to notify it specifically down on the menu.

The frozen french fries : when you have a restaurant that serves meat, wake up earlier, go to the market and buy your own potatoes and get the amidon out, cut them, make it your own for god’s sake, you’ll see, it’s not that difficult

Bottled vinaigrette : yes, you are right to buy that 3L oil and mustard mix to serve on the salad, because, that’s true, a real good vinaigrette is too long to prepare. How about one with garlic and another one with sesame oil, and making your own vinaigre with ends of red wine bottles that your clients are leaving on the table ?

There are so many things to say about food, restaurants, eating and sharing, that I am opening a new category here…
More to come soon !!
