I know it’s not breaking news and this is gonna look like a late report but I’d like to get you to se this Swoon exhibition held at Galerie LJ.
Since a few years now, I don’t wanna do exhibitions, considering that it’s not anymore a pleasure to create unique pictures, not telling a story… I know I will change my mind one day, especially when I’ll be older and when I’ll be living in that countryside house with a great garage I could transform into a big studio. I would sleep in it, eat inside and gather my girlfriends for tea.
UNTIL THEN… I went up today to see my friend Adeline, owner of the gallery for lunch and a lil girls talk. I am not a super super fan of Swoon’s work usually, but I felt overwhelmed by her art as soon as I got in.
Her moneyless installations of cardboard, artwork mixed with cut-out paper meant a lot. Volume and a comfy sensation was created by artwork superpositions and space organisation. I really loved it. There’s a portrait of her father, he is beautiful, you can feel the love it it.
I drop a few pictures, but it’s really cool to see it with your own eyes to get the real feel, aight ?
