Hum hum

Sorry guys, for not blogging earlier, it’s just because we had… how to say…a very busy weekend, we had many friends sleep at home, it’s like we’re going to open a hotel or a Relais & Chateaux soon, ha !

Sunday I left Paris to work on my comic, as I try to do every month, my goal is to draw a page per day, take a walk on the ocean everyday and eat as much seafood as I can.

Our hotel client A-trak

Our hotel clients Dos Santos and Bouchard

Then, Biarritz…

This very cute lil salad at the famous Miremont grannies salon….

Sorry again for that superficial post but I cannot have inspiration for the comic and the blog same time !

I’ll try to be more funny, efficient, whatever, tomorrow.

La semaine de la mood

My friend Mary Ito is in town !

When I think about Japan, I think of her, Mary has a few stores in the country and she is carrying the coolest brands, has the cutest salespersons, always ready for a pizza-karaoke and hang out looking like living Fafinettes…

Oh don’t forget tonight to come to Bataclan in Paris for the Ed Banger vs StonesThrow party !

Ruth Francken, Charles & Ray Eames and… Pharrell

“Homme” designed by Ruth Francken in 1971

“DSR” designed by Charles & Ray Eames in early 1950

“I had often wondered what it’s like to truly be in love, not lust for once..So I decided not to ask what it was like in someone else’s shoes or what it was like to sit in their seat..I decided to sketch out my own experiment; the perspective chair.”

Until the 10th january at Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin in Paris

First I saw the chair and I found it really bad in terms of balance and shape, really heavy and disgraceful, then I read it was a reflexion on love, well Pharrel, no wonder if you don’t know love yet, then I thought I already saw it somewhere… Perrotin, Domeau and Pérès, WTF ??

TECHNO AND VINES

The city of Gisborne makes me think of a movie setting, all the buildings are pastel colored, in wood, and there are palmtrees everywhere. Out of downtown, the houses look like mobile-homes, seems like they were temporarily placed here by helicopter. But the more you leave the city, the more the nature takes its rights, you see beautiful blossom flowers, little hills ponctuated with sheeps and vines, vines…

This is the setting of the Rythm and Vines festival, I don’t know the background story of it but I was figuring out an old rock fan letting kids have fun in his garden ten years ago to finally bring us to what the festival is now : a four stage music celebration in the middle of an amazing natural site. The boys stage was set up in the middle of a little forest, and you can imagine how feeric it was when Mehdi played at sundown…
